Wax Lyrical is a great British brand; the UK’s largest home fragrance company, designing and manufacturing products that are proudly made in a great place.

2020 marks 40 years in business for Wax Lyrical and four decades of knowledge in fragrance. Led by our in-house Dr who heads up their lab, and their team of qualified ‘noses’, or fragrance experts, they’re very proud to be paving the way for home fragrance manufacturing in the UK.

The Brief – Brand and Lifestyle Video Content

This brief consisted of a corporate video that had to be adaptable for both b2b and consumer marketing.

Wax Lyrical wanted a collection of video assets to do the following:

  • Highlight the Wax Lyrical brand USPs
  • Communicate the care and consideration that goes into developing every Wax Lyrical product
  • Bring the brand to life – from design through to manufacturing
  • Present Wax Lyrical as an affordable and luxury home fragrance brand
  • Show that Wax Lyrical are life fragrance experts who are passionate about the business
  • Show that Wax Lyrical offers competitive products in the home fragrance sector
  • Communicate their inspiration – the beautiful Lake District surroundings

The content had to encapsulate the Wax Lyrical brand and its heritage. It needed to include elements of nature, home and lifestyle, and reflect the design process, with emphasis on the inspiration found in the Cumbrian surroundings.

Wax Lyrical also wanted to bring to life their large range of beautiful products with video, so that their sales team had a collection of assets that could be used during virtual sales events.

Our team got to work planning shoots, hiring models and securing locations in the stunning Lake District, all within a very tight timeframe. We captured, edited and delivered the content on brief, on time and on budget.

The Outcome

The marketing and sales team reported that the video content was extremely well received by all of their trade partners and customers. The brand video proved an invaluable asset to introduce the brand to potential customers and encourage them to ‘buy in’, whilst the product videos encouraged both consumer and trade customers to purchase not only their preferred collection, but also other collections featured in the video that they had not previously paid attention to.
